The Sandyman Team packed their kit bags and hit the road again up the M5 to Newport, Wales to visit the annual Barber Connect Show. A show packed full of talent and inspiration from across the barber community.

Representing The Bluebeards Revenge on the Barbicide stage,  PJ and Luke demonstrated their skills with an excellent 45 minute cut and beard tutorial that was also streamed on Facebook Live.

The guys met friends old and new and a good time was had by all.

Sandyman X NR Studio

June 21, 2016  /  Simon Bethel

This weekend sees the launch party of an epic new tattoo studio in Exeter called No Regrets.  Having already established two successful studios in Cheltenham and Bucharest, their arrival in the South West is super exciting for everyone into quality tattoos!

We are stoked that they approached us and we have formed a collaboration that includes an epic piece of limited edition barber prints drawn by their very own tattoo artist Lauren Gow.

The launch party is not to be missed with Pizza, Beer pong, goodie bags and even a chance to win a tattoo.  We'll be there for sure!

Download Festival 2016

Last weekend, we undertook our annual trip up the M5 to Donnington Park for Download Festival.  The sun was shining, spirits were high and we were eager to get there, set up camp and fix people up, Sandyman style.

Download Fest always seems to encourage the rain gods to dance and this year was no different.  After bright sunshine all week, the inevitable clouds descended over Leicestershire and the heavens opened, quickly reducing the ground to mud.  This didn’t deter us as we fixed up friends, old and new, sold our merch and then partied hard each evening.  The line up of bands was epic this year with everything from old school punk bands like NOFX and Pennywise to Rammstein and Black Sabbath.  Particular highlights were Anti-Flag and local Exeter band Muncie Girls.

Barbering at festivals is somewhat of a new phenomenon but we are used to braving the conditions to make people look handsome.  Download 2016 was awesome, in spite of the weather and Sandyman will definitely be there again next year.  If you’re going next year, drop by and say Hi.
